The Felix Project (charity number 1100051 ) collects surplus food from supermarkets and distributes it to foodbanks and community centres,
On Saturday October the 10th they are holding a fundraising event in the “Eastern Cluster” of the City of London called Climb The Capital. Participants have to walk or run up the staircases of three towers these being the Cheesegrater, Scalpel and Walkie-Talkie.
A total ascent of around 1,760′ – that’s a third of a mile or, for any Scottish hillwalkers amongst you, more than half a Munro.
I am amongst the participants.
Three skyscrapers, 2700 steps, one 70 year old tour guide. What can possibly go wrong?
