River Walk (March 2025)
Had a brilliant tour with Andy on 22 March 2025 re. the Tales of the river Thames. Andy is clearly passionate about the history of the City of London, and his natural curiosity, sense of humour and warm personality contributed to make the walk truly entertaining and enjoyable. I’ll definitely do a Docklands tour soon at some point. 🙂

Various City Walks (January 2025)
A small group of friends and l have attended at least 2 walking tours of the City of London recently which were excellent.
Andy is very knowledgeable and has an engaging style. He brought the city’s rich history to life with fascinating stories and unheard of details.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this tour is a great way to deepen your appreciation of London’s history and architecture.
Highly recommend!

Docklands (June 2024)
Reader Andy Ellis mailed me a few weeks back saying he’d read my book.
Before buying the book he had lost money and after buying it was in profit so that was great.
I noticed his website from his mail and saw he did walking tours of parts of London. I contacted him and we signed up for a tour.
We went on a tour of hidden East London, meeting Andy outside the museum of London Docklands together with another very lovely couple.
I guess we were quite brave going considering the heavy showers throughout the day. It was “hang onto your umbrella” weather.
Undaunted, Andy showed us around parts of the capital you’d never really go to.
I was a bit annoyed as everytime Elizabeth asked a question Andy said “Good question”. She got 5 “good questions” to my 2. The other couple racked up 7 good questions between them. I guess I am no good at questions.
If you fancy an Andy tour, his website is puddinglanetours.co.uk.

Docks Walk  (March 2024)
I went on the PLT Docks walk. Despite the pourring rain, the guide, Andy, made us forget all this and enjoy a walk from the Isle of Dogs around to Limehouse. He had many interesting sights to show us and stories to tell. A nice location for lunch followed by a walk through to Wapping and ending on the edge of the City of London by which time the sun was out. A thoroughly enjoyable few hours. I shan’t tell you where the sights were as I don’t want to spoil it for you. Go along and enjoy this walk of discovery yourselves!

City (March 2024)
An excellent tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I have lived in London many years and have often walked past sites that I now know have a great story to tell. He also took us to some hidden locations that were really interesting but pretty hard to find.

Docklands (February 2024)
I have been on Andy’s Docklands Tour which I’d highly recommend. He has a sure grasp of how that area has changed over time… from the docks and their part in the industrial revolution, to the skyscrapers of the financial district. He has an engaging style and just as important…..knows the best pubs for lunch along the way!

City (February 2024)
Andy is a great tour guide. He holds the City of London green badge qualification. I have been on a few different tours with him. All have been interesting, informative, enjoyable and relaxed. Highly recommended.
